He obeyed as Tyrael held off the Angel of Death long enough for Lorath to get away. Every Horadrim present got slaughtered by Malthael, except for Lorath, who was ordered by Tyrael to flee and find the Nephalem. In the Opening Cinematic for Reaper of Souls we learned that they did not succeed with that endeavor, being interrupted by Malthael, Angel of Death. Lorath was present when the Horadrim, together with Tyrael, tried to seal the Black Soulstone in the Tomb of Rakkis. The Nephalem defeated the sole Prime Evil Diablo at the end of Diablo III, that is when Tyrael refounded the Horadrim and Lorath Nahr joined the order.
